Each month, the Student of the Month's name is engraved on one of the annual plates that is mounted on the octagonal base. Here is a close-up of this year's plate.

Soaring Scholar winners also receive a commemorative certificate highlighting his/her Soaring Scholar Student of the Month achievement.

Patriot Takes Flight

Since the Soaring Scholar trophy does not leave the classroom, the Student of the Month takes home Patriot, our ironwood class mascot. The student cares for Patriot during his/her designated month and Patriot enjoys the company of the Soaring Scholar and his/her family.
